Geodesic Archway
A concept for a digitally fabricated archway for the entrance to a lecture hall in the Environmental Design building at the University of Colorado. This archway would be made from MDF cut on a CNC machine. The archway itself was modeled using Grasshopper, and is based upon an extrusion of a polyhedra that is projected onto two rectangular surfaces, creating a complex archway design. This object is an aesthetic exploration into the use of parametric design in the construction of interior decorations.
